Are there any updates planned for the next time?
In the last time, there was'nt really many updates of FS-UAE and/or -Launcher. Only a bugfix update was released (2.2.3)
Are there any major updates in the next time or has FS-UAE reached his final state? |

Since Frode is on holidays, I'll just post that FS-UAE is still being updated I hope that Frode will soon give a 'bit more detailed' answer

Hi, as you noticed, 2.2.3 was only a bugfix release for the stable series. This does in no way represent the amount of work done since the previous 2.2.x release ;-)
In the meantime, I've been working on the 2.3.x development branch, but have not made any official development releases yet (see http://eab.abime.net/895429-post236.html for more information on that). I seldom announce what I'm planning to do next, but I can at least post the current content of the Changelog for 2.3.x (some overlap with 2.2.x improvements): Code:
Version 2.3.3: * (Launcher) Don't reload images when changing variants (and same images should be displayed for the new variant). * (Launcher) Show joy_emu_conflict from oagd.net in statusbar if applicable. * (Launcher) More QT port improvements, almost full-featured now. * (Game Center) Locate correct kickstart ROMs via file database. * (Game Center) Fixed possible bug in font rendering code. Version 2.3.2: * (Launcher) Fixed bug when loading files from archive in a folder named #. * (Launcher) Fixed bug when automatically looking up Amiga Forever roms [2.3.1] * (Launcher) QT port improvements. * (Launcher) Misc bugfixes and minor improvements. Correct, the plan is to include it in the forthcoming development versions
It'll at least initially be a cut-down version of FS-Game Center called FS-UAE Game Center, and it'll for the time being use the games / setup from FS-UAE Launcher. This means that for the time being, you also need to use the Launcher (for setup) even in one is only interested in the game center! But on the plus side, no configuration is then needed for the game center and it hopefully works out of the box. |
