Pistorm setup Question

I recently installed a Pistorm32 Lite, in my A1200 with a Raspberry Pi 3 Model B.

Using this guide, setting up the board, was quite straightforward.

I am considering of upgrading to a Raspberry Pi 4 Model B/4GB, and using my extra Pi 3 to my A500.

But it seems that setting up a Pistorm is completely different procedure. In fact it is like a full blown Linux distro installation.

Not a problem with that, but it is not as elegant as Pistorm32 Lite installation.

Is it still not possible to just install only Emu68 to Pistorm?

Given that the set up is a standard procedure and not specific for each Amiga A1200 or A500 etc it will go in, why isn't there just a ready made image to flash and then you copy over kickstart etc if legal issue?

There are separate builds of Emu86 for the Pistorm and Pistorm32lite. IMO you can stick with Emu86 if it serves you better, but the boot file for the raspi has to match your setup.

Yes I have seen them!!

So Emu86 with the rom file in the first SD partition, will also work on a Pistorm?

Yes, as long as you have the correct emu86 to match your Pistorm carrier board.

Don't forget.....

Only the Pi3 uses brcm-sdhc.device

Your Pi4 & the CM4 Module use brcm-emmc.device

Change the SCSI type accordingly & you should now be able to partition the drive without issues.
