A500 Keyboard -> Ps2
Hey Folks,
i have searched the forum for similar queries and had found nothing so for so i have decided to ask how could one connect a Amiga500 Keyboard to a PS/2 interface, i have wired up the corresponding connectors ie Clk, Data etc.. but it doesn't seem to want to work :/ i'm presuming the clock is wrong or something... i want to avoid using keyrah really... has anyone else tried doing this before? if so how did it go? and whats the best method? Thanks in advance! Joe. |

You need to adapt the protocol with a suitable microcontroller, using software you write yourself.
No-one's done the software for this direction so far.. I started writing it for the PIC controller years ago, then development stalled due to the lack of a logic analyzer. I was so close to getting PS2 keycodes to be sent to the PC, but unfortunately my timing was off somehow and I couldn't get consistent results. Now those analyzers are pretty cheap, I just need to motivate myself to resume coding. :-) |
