In case of Psygnosis the game boxes were very often unrelated to the game itself. But answer to your question.... ?.... .. .

Is there some use in Robocod for:
- black & white mode after pressing some switch or collecting some item
- crashing into wall with maximum running speed, there is screen shaking but can it change anything in game?

Don't think there's any use for the B&W effect other than fun. Same for the screen shaking. At least I never noticed. Lots of stuff in that game that has no higher meaning, like picking up vacuum cleaners etc.

Does it make sense to use a C2P routine for 2d games that use a straight 256 color mode (without separate playfields or other special cases) instead of using 8 bitplanes...?

Same here. It made the machine kind of unaccessible if there was no disk around. And I guess, these days it's a roadblock as well, if people find an A500 that was stuffed away and no disks. A C64 you just need to connect to a tv, and at least you can play around a bit with it.

With an Amiga simply nothing happens without a disk.

I remember being disappointed about that, when I saw the first Amiga 1000 in a local mall back in 1986. It felt so boring compared to the older homecomputers standing next to it.

A question from me now: So you know how the A500 was always advertised the Amiga 500 with a monitor laying on top of it? Like here in this official Commodore ad:

Or here (computer store ad):

Doesn't this potentially damage the A500 case? Was the case actually meant to hold an Amiga monitor on top, at least partially?

There is shadow on both, I think it's with leg, strong one.

Those models don't have a "leg". Feels like it's leaning on the edge of the 500, it's not laying flat on it, that's why there is a shadow.

Does the A1060 Sidecar for the A1000 have a hard drive built in? If so, how much storage capacity does it have?

Which means it would place 10 kilos of pressure on a 1 x 15 cm area of brittle plastic.

No, but it does have some ISA slots where you can install a PC hard disk controller. That was the first way for Amiga users to even get access to a hard drive.

You're supposed to keep the screws in the case?
How can I get inside quickly with my weekly upgrades and just general poking around?

Amiga questions you've always been too embarrassed to ask

Screws? You mean you keep the top case on your amiga?

One could be a pass-through connector, maybe for the VHS?

What the hell is that? I've never seen that cable before, but it could be a pass-through as mentioned, or a second input that uses composite instead of RGB so you don't have to unplug one source to use the other.

It will not last long with a monitor on there like that. Just a temp thing for the advert. :-)

I would be afraid of possible damage, so I personally would avoid putting a monitor on top of an Amiga.

It's not a nice way of presentation - even for an Atari ST .
