A1500 case add-on for Amiga 500
Hi, I am looking for a picture and/or propper name of an Amiga case-add-on I owned in the nineties...
It was called an A1500, but was before C=UK even had the Amiga 1500... I think it was an alternative case for an Amiga 500 or maybe just an add-on... I can't remember, if you moved the motherboard into the case, or just stuck the whole Amiga 500 underneath it... Anybody have an inkling what I am talking about ? It is NOT the A1500 case on book-of-amiga hardware site... It looked more like an Amiga 1000... but much much cheaper... memory is b*tch... Thanks for any help... |

There was Checkmate A1500 replacement box for A500 MoBo. . And then several makes where you could pile A500, extra floppies, monitor etc on shelves.

Well, that is the one I found in the boahw... but that wasn't it...
It looked way closer to an Amiga 1000 and I think it had no hw inside... just a case... A mockup... to make your A500 look cool... well, I obviously thought so at the time... A glorified monitor-stand... |

There was Amiga 1500, which was basically relabeled and slightly modified A2000 for UK market. The outer look was the same as A2000, though.

I remember cases like this for the A500 but I thought they were pretty ugly:

It's the DeLuxe expansion with
◾four Zorro II slots ◾three ISA slots inline with the top three Zorro slots (inactive) ◾the Zorro expansion bus is buffered, closely emulating the A2000 bus design ◾two 5.25" front drive bays ◾one 3.5" internal drive bay |
