Printing with new os 3.1.4

I was wondering if anyone out in the amigsphere that has been using the new ps2 could tell me if there has been an update for the printer drivers so that you can print with newer printers. I am trying to get my miggy to print to the Epson workforce pro 4730 without any success. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

There are newer printer drivers, but there is no support for Windows GDI printers as their interface is vendor-defined and hence not implemented. What 3.1.4 supports are postscript driven printers and PCL printers. Thus, hp printers will generally work well, and everything that accepts postscript. The printer you have supports some variant of EscP. You may want to try some of the Epson printers, provided the printer you have is configured to use it.

Anyhow, I would go for a hp printer. They speak PCL, and PCL is well documented and well supported.

Thank you. Have you attempted to print through winuae. From what I understand, winuae will allow you through ghostscript on windows to any printer even though the the printer is not supported on the amiga. Do you print postscript from final writer etc and have ghostscript set on winuae output? If you can direct me that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
