HD15 to DB9 adapter?
I want to plug my scandoubler into my spectrum gfx card using the input connector.
However the input connector is a DB9 (female) on the spectrum and a HD15 (male) on the scandoubler. I already bought a M-F vga cable, is it possible to buy a male>male HD15>DB9 adapter? Thanks |

I think you might be after one of these http://www.phoenix-pcs.co.uk/acatalo...in-F2N163.html looking at that, i think you will need a jender changer for the db9 but there VERY cheap I am sure if you look about a bit you could find one cheaper than this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/9-Pin-DB9-Seri...QQcmdZViewItem anyways smiley I hope it helps. ![]() Last edited by Zetr0; 23 November 2006 at 14:21. |

You can adapt between the 9-pin/15-pin with cable or adapter- you decide. We can do either.

Which is more expensive?
![]() I would probably prefer a Female 15pin > Male 9pin cable at about 20cm to 30cm (ill have to measure) Whats the price inc P&P for this? Attached images of both connectors: Last edited by Smiley; 23 November 2006 at 18:24. |

Would it be any cheaper to make an adapter?
EDIT: Sorry but I have found a UK based website selling HD15 (F) to DB9 (M) adapters for £3.82 posted. I think I will just go with them as its the cheapest option. If the adapter doesnt work ill come back to you for a custom made cable. thanks Last edited by Smiley; 24 November 2006 at 00:13. |

Adapter would be about £1.50 cheaper. If you need anything, get in touch.

For the benefit of any future visitors who would want to build one themselves, it would go like this:
Code:
9-Pin 15-Pin Red Video 1 1 Green Video 2 2 Blue Video 3 3 Horizontal Sync 4 13 Vertical Sync 5 14 Red GND 6 6 Green GND 7 7 Blue GND 8 8 Sync GND 9 10 + 11 |
