Intuition Prefs daemon problem:
Another strange one with my A530..
When booting, I'm presented with the following error message: Intuition Prefs daemon problem: bad screefont.prefs file The boot halts until I click the only option which is Give up, upon which it continues to boot into Workbench fine. Anyone have any ideas on how I can fix the screenfont.prefs file, please? |

delete it?
is it in prefs/envarc you may have to "show all files" to see it if its there in the first place,or even move it. although i havent used workbench 2 for years.or even deamon then try to save the deamon settings. Last edited by roy bates; 09 November 2012 at 19:22. |

Have sorted it.
For some reason it was looking for a font that doesn't exist. Very strange. Maybe there are some bad blocks on the HD... Are there any chkdisk type utilities available for the Amiga? |

yeah but i cant remember what they are at the moment,i dont use them anyway do to the size of some of my drives.
isent there a util built into workbench 2 like hdtoolbox with a tab for checking blocks? but then again thees probably something more usefull on aminet. |
