Can't get enough of these - I'd have *swooned* over this in the Amiga Power days. Love it.

One tiny bug, though - the bonus fruit isn't displayed before the bonus stage. It just shows "[black space] . . . . 5000 pts".

very strange. WinUAE: OK, A1200: OK


I don't see why it wouldn't show. It's a plain sprite. Does it show in the maze later?

It shows on the actual bonus screen, yes. Just not on the intro bit.

on which real amiga configuration? have you tried in WinUAE too?

I don't have a real Amiga. This is under emulation. (It's running on the default config, not a game-specific one, I'm trying to find what that actually is...)

Ah now that's a real bug thanks for reporting that. I didn't try on a A500, my drive is now not working after it worked briefly to test MsPacman...

I tested the game only last night on my real machine. I don't know why it feels 2000% times better on a real machine than on the emulator.

nice. Would you do an icon for whdload version?

@DanyPPC: was contemplating Phoenix. But enemy movements put me off. I don't want to create a game that doesn't feel like the original...

Maybe sometime, though. I've been bitten by the arcade remake virus. Next in line could be Scramble.

@Stuart winuae+ECS or OCS: banana shows. Maybe an old Winuae version by your end? I don't see why it shouldn't work. No fancy tricks here. Just a sprite.

3 near perfect arcade ports in about as many months, seriously great work jotd!

Amidar was a game I discovered way after the 80s and is hugely underrated, this is clearly the best version next to the arcade. Thanks to Dany for the WHD version with extras to.

Next project? You have the skills for Phoenix

Scramble if I recall has a really odd resolution. Something daft like 224x800.

I had a quick look again, looks and it's 224x768.

It does look like you could go with 224x240 and move the HUD onto the right like you did with your other ports. I'd love to see scramble come to the Amiga.

768 = 256*3 really it's 256. Like Amidar.

scramble & amidar have same HW. So yes. I'm going to do exactly that, using dual playfield with 8 colors so the scrolling won't interfere with the right score panel.
