Im not a PPC-Owner, but still happy for the heads-up.
Used 2.2 till now (never found more recent versions) and that version opened a window you couldnt close when run via DefIcons Prompt. 2.11 fixed that. |

So what is Warp OS anyway? Is it related to OS/2 Warp?

no, let's say that it is a set of programs/libs that allow the ppc cpu on csppc/bppc cards to operate at the same time with the 68k on amigaOS... thus giving you the option to have some "intensive" tasks to be handled by the ppc, leaving the 68k free for OS use... you can consider the ppc as a bonus faster cpu at this case, like a dsp that does certain things....
of course the ppc can also run morphos for classic amigas and the upcoming os4... Last edited by keropi; 23 December 2005 at 10:13. |

is lha actively being worked on?
I still use lzx... and I use tar and bz2 on archives many hundreds of megs in size... so my Q is... file merging aside... does lha now out perform aging lzx in raw compression power? ah yes, speed aside too... I always use every archiver in best mode... |
