b8 PAL filter seems to act up...
High res interlace ends up real bad (Team17 logo on ABreed:TA) Normal res is ok, but completely wrongly offsetted on screen. I then tried Gods, as soon as i changed the Blur settings on the PAL filter it all went to hell. Missalignments, bad screen clippings, etc. More strange, reseting settings on PAL filter, and even restarting WinUAE didn't seem to fix it? B7 actually didn't behave like this The Effect looks gorgeous though. That's how remember my real Amiga looking like Faster that i though too 40% CPU on a 2.6gigs P4 (other stuff was running too) Pics follow attached: |

Even more weird, B8:
Load default Amiga500 config, half chip half slow 1 meg. Change nothing but filter into Pal -> No effect, changes back to null (always, btw) Tried with BMX simulator from codemasters. |

Really? I'm using 32bit, windowed and fullscreen.
I'll give it another try. |

Ok, so apparently WinUAE in windowed mode doesn't inherit 16\32 bit from the desktop but from the setting on display - As such if 16bit is on it turns to null. Making it 32bit fixes it
As for the clipping\cropping it still occurs though, it only started happening after i tried to change the Blur setting on PAL extra settings drop down menu. It has not been fixed upon restarting WinUAE, which in theory is strange. Without saving configs it should reset on restart (WinUAE on windows, not the emulated machine). So being, the centering question isn't a question, my bad |

Beta 9: - new PAL filter configuration file support (forgot it in b8) - PAL filter now works both in 16 and 32-bit modes. Internal color space is now only R5G6B5, even in 32-bit AGA. Makes things simpler (minus image quality loss) Fix later, not sure.. - map "UAE Boot ROM" automatically if any "external" expansion is enabled (uaescsi, uaeserial, bsdsocket etc..) Previously it was only mapped if filesystem (directory or hdf) was configured. - IDE non-RDB HDF statefile support added - filter default centering fixed (I think..) and other related tweaks - minor FPU updates to very rarely used instructions (from aranym) - "cpu060_revision" config entry added ("read-only", not created when saving config), sets 68060 revision field in PCR register (current default is 1) |

Toni,
I know you see many replies thanking you for your hard work but trust us, the diehard real users of this superb piece of emulation genuinely are sooo damn grateful for the work and time you put in. We notice and appreciate the smallest 'tweak', while casual users love the emulator (and rightly so) they enjoy it for the joy of playing their classic games that they loved and remembered but they may not understand just how much hard coding and time is involved in getting the quality of emulation that you have. As casual gamers and diehards, we salute you |

Beta 10: (week or two to go) - CDTV CDROM command 0x09 (play audio cd in lsn mode) fixed, parameters are start sector and number of sectors, not start and end sector.. - state file load: keep current disk in drive if image's path in state file does not exist. (keeps some programs happy that don't access the disk but start complaining if disk is suddenly ejected) - fixed stupid typo in fpu clamping fix (327676 instead of 32767..) - CDTV audio cd end position detection didn't always work - GUI debugger improvements (Karsten Bock & TW) WARNING: My replies will be really "interesting" if I see bug reports from regular posters about new statefile features immediately after 1.2 has been officially released. (haven't seen any comments so far..) |

It still complains about beeing too big for windowed mode when switching from RTG to native screen mode, although it would perfectly fit. On the other hand, when switching from native to RTG with an RTG mode which cannot fit on the desktop, it opens an oversized window without complaints. So it seems that it checks the opposite of what it should (when switching from native to RTG, it tests native and when switching from RTG to native it tests RTG).

Beta 11: - fixed randomly lost CDTV CD transfer finished interrupt in CE-mode - fixed windowed mode size check - added some preliminary SCSI hardware emulation stuff (1.4.3+ stuff) - A3000, minimal support, KS driver detects SCSI controller with no SCSI devices connected. (SuperDMAC + WD33C93) - A590/A2091, (DMAC + WD33C93), minimal support, boot ROM (tested with rev7) detects controller with no SCSI devices. (check log if for some weird reason you want to test it..) - A4000T NCR53C710, nothing implemented yet (no datasheet) - CDTV and A590/A2091 autoconfig chained with UAE autoconfig devices (fast ram, HD etc works in CDTV mode) - more GUI debugger updates |

Not sure if the following doc for the LSI53C7xx may be useful:
http://www.lsi.com/files/docs/techdo...are/8XX_21.pdf LSI used to have the datasheet for 53c710, it appears can't get it from their website anymore: http://lists.parisc-linux.org/piperm...er/030275.html |

Hi,
See http://la.causeuse.org/hauke/macbsd/...ios_53c710.pdf Also some tech notes in the http://la.causeuse.org/hauke/macbsd/symbios_53cXXX_doc/ directory might be relevant. -- Mark |
