Retro joystick v mini Megadrive game pad
It's something like 15 years since I last had a retro joystick with my Amiga and I can't remember what games they work best on - compared with using a mini Megadrive game pad.
I've got a 6-button game pad but only the 'B' button works. I've seen a Cheetah 125+, Cheetah Mach-1, Zip Stik and Quickshot 1/2/5/7/9 for sale and I'm thinking of buying one or two of them. Which of the above joysticks are good and which should be avoided? Thanks. |

Hi!
Zipstick seems to b the stick of choice amongst most Amiga users I know However I use one of these mostly: Its a Quickshot stick and has a great arcade feel to it, buttons are solid and the stick is really procise (digital directions) also works in games that support 2 buttons. Another cool feature is that it has two leads and a switch 1/2 player and I have it plugged into my A1200 Tower and also my A1200 Desktop at the same time so can easily switch between. As you probably guessed, I highly reccomend this Joystick. Steve. |

After a little Google searching, I believe that's a Quickshot Maverick (of which there's only one on eBay at the moment - international seller).
I came across a Quickshot Footpedal System earlier for £12 - wonder how that'll work with car games. |

Best idea just search for Quickshot and look at the pictures
Here's a UK one: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Sega-Master-Sy...item3caeceb201 (Quite expensive - I paid £2 for mine at a car boot sale) And there's probably more... Steve. |
