Rally Championship (Flair) AGA or ECS crack working?

It happened again!!

I have tried both versions with a stock A1200 and A500+ config in WinUAE but BOTH are stopping at the same place.

Both load the cracktro, then an image of a floppy disk, give you 5 seconds to change language (which then doesn't work by the way...crashes on flag image screen) but the disk just stops loading after less than a minute and trying different disks does nothing on the ECS version.

So all I can do is get some intro music and an image of a game disk up on the screen and then nothing.

I checked the 2010-11-12 Tosec this time and there is only one entry for AGA or ECS and they are labelled exactly the same as the 2009 Tosec versions. I'd rather not download 16gb for a few disk images before confirming they do/don't work.

Link to working ones would be nice.

Also I have exactly the same problem on SF2 The New Challengers too.

Both works fine here, using WinUAE 2.3.2.

There is nothing wrong with the disk images.


...by the way, you can download every single disk image of current TOSEC release, not the whole collection.

Link please? I will try newer versions even though they are labelled the same. I got these identically named ADFs from Planetemu.

PlanetEmu ADFs are ok, you have rather wrong Emulation settings, i suppose.

Nope everything else works as I would expect for OCS/ECS/AGA 512/1024/2048kb as per stock machine and I never need to mess about with anything else. Been using WinUAE since version 1.4.x with no problems.

Only thing I can think is to try it at snails pace 100% compatible emulated floppy speed just incase it is "fussy"

post crc32 of disks, which you have used, or put in the zone.

I got them to work by scaling back the floppy speed from 800% to 100%. It's running now so far (on main menu as I type)

I can't get into the Zone.

edit:the non AGA version is quite flaky so might get a new set from somewhere else (some of the many intermittent stages between starting the game and actually playing the game don't work properly) but the AGA one works fine. But the disk swapping is a lot and not very well thought out. 10 mins loading for a 2 minute game is ludicrous lol
