Real Time Clock and Sensors Clockport Module

New Sensors and Real Time Clock module now available from Amiga Kit Amiga Store.

It monitors the following:

* Amiga mptherboard’s temperature
* motherboard's 5 volt rail
* health of the battery powering the Real Time Clock.
* optional external sensor, for example, to measure temperature of CPU.

The sensors results are shown on Workbench screen through the software that can be downloaded for the module.

The Sensor and RTC module can be installed by plugging it into the motherboard clockport and selected RAM expansions.

@Amiga4000

Thanks! I always wanted to get real-time sensor information from my Commodore-Amiga 1200, especially when I added a Blizzard PPC. This will be helpful to measure the 5v supply in the motherboard and monitor the temperatures.

@amigakit.com

Can this device be used in other clockports beyond the default one on the A1200 motherboard? (I mean, can it be used on clockport expanders, X-Surf, Buddha, Micronik busboards, etc?).

Does this come with the external sensor probe wire that connects to the header and does it work with clockport expanders?

Does it include a real time clock on board, or does it simply monitor an RTC battery?

Thank you.

@Matt020

It is a Real Time Clock as well as a Sensor Module - it has both built onto the board.

@wiz12

The cable is optional- we will have it listed separately shortly. We haven't yet tested with clockport expanders.

@gulliver

It is likely to work with Zorro cards with A1200 clockports on them. We will be doing tests shortly.

It would be nice if you could release info to aid people in creating a better app for it, as that one is a little, shall we say, basic and dated looking

Otherwise a nice little product

Does anyone have the real time sensor cable for this installed on their CPU? I have a TF1230 and want to fix the sensor onto the CPU - but it doesn’t come with any tape. Does anyone know the sort of tape that would be safe to use on a cpu?

Just received my one of these but still no software included and the product page says " The Workbench commodity software to display all the sensor readings in real time can be downloaded here." but with no link.......

Have emailed Amigakit but that wont get a reply now till next week at best - anyone able to PM me the software at all....?

EDIT - Scrub that as despite their page saying support is only monday to friday they have replied with the software within the hour! NICE!

All works as it should and as it creates environment variables I am showing the temperatures up in the workbench bar at the top of the screen.

Any way to configure the AK_Sensor tools for another port than 0 yet?

Port 0 on the ClockPort Expander makes the RTC/Sensor module positioned in the most awkward angle of all

Theres a program on Aminet that lets you change ports. Never actually tried it yet though.
Failing that, you could use a cable extension.
