Amiga Guide Problems

Currently as most of you may know, I am slowly building up a huge Games Collection for the Amiga

Currently I use "Selector" but I have been dabbling with Amiga Guide, and it appears you can launch Programs from there, But it appears you cannot launch script files

I have successfully got Amiga Guide (via PPGuide) to load on both WB1.3 and WB3.1 (as the Games Collection uses both versions) so if I can get this working correctly, I can scrap Selector and then just have the Amiga Guide Menu System

I need to be able to launch a script for each Game so that it will CD into the Games folder, then add any assignments it needs before loading the Game

@ {"Test Script" system "Menu:X test"} (does not work)
@ {"Test EXE (this works fine)" system "C:QED"} (works)

I have tried using IconX but it does not appear to accept a command line:
@ {"Test EXE" system "C:IconX ScriptFile"}

Any Help would be very much appreciated, Thankyou

Attachments show examples of what I am trying to achieve with the menu selector system I would like to have:

This might be off topic, or maybe it's not, but Zetro's AG-Launch seems to be very similar to what you're trying to achieve so maybe you can look at that for answers. (Aminet Link)

I've never used it so can't really say how good it might be.

Do the script files have the s protection bit set?

Code:
protect Menu:X +s
list Menu:X

You need it to start them without using "execute Menu:X test"

Sadly AG-Launch appears to use MultiView and WBRUN which only appears to support Executables and not Scripts (eg. wbrun execute script) generates runtime errors

Doing the protect method also does not appear to work either, nothing happens when I try running a test script
("X" was basically just a renamed "Execute")

Works perfectly for me. With C:Execute, that is.

Probably your script has an error. You won't see any output because AmigaGuide does not set an output window.

Yeah must require C:Execute there, since Menu:X (which is Execute renamed) did not work

Thanks so much, This will make it soooo much easier to build the menu now, since I can just put each game under its starting letter

(Didnt want to start a new thread for this)

But does anyone know a Full Screen AmigaGuide Viewer for the Amiga?

For example in the same way MMPP (MuchMorePoPa) does it
(ie. full screen with no window borders)

Depending on C:Execute is not such a good idea. Execute may exist and work, without C:Execute being present. Actually, it can (and will be) a shell-built-in.

Have you tried the BACKDROP argument of MultiView? Scroll bars disappear so you'd have to use arrow keys for up and down movements but it does go full-screen. [well, near enough...it'll still have the screen bar at the top though]

Alt and up/down can be used to jump to bottom and top of pages or page at a time with the Shift key.
