Skidmarks original Beta #1 test disk??????

So I did some play testing for ACID software, as I am sure many people did, and I found the disk they sent me to do the testing of Skidmarks.

Does anybody know if it needs KS 2.0, 1mb Chip RAM or even a contiguous block of 1mb memory only possible with A500/2000 onward (couple of 1mb games do not like the 512k + extra RAM via Zorro side expansion on my A1000)

Anyway, AGA is turned off and when I hit F1 for a track then the 'click me' bit on the program the screen goes black after some disk access and pressing the fire button does some more loading and then stops and the screen is still black. The disk is fine, 82 tracks upper and lower side green zeroes on X-Copy and I even made a duplicate of the disk via the better condition external drive and wrote a new disk via internal drive. Same thing happens.

Was eager to check it out but no go. Not joking but I don't have space for any other model of Amiga right now except my A1000...and no space for the 100DPI mouse to play Virus even on that

Google is bugger all help as usual. Does anybody else have this beta testers disk #1?

OK I found my original Skidmarks (two of them) and they both do the same thing so I guess Skidmarks must be 1mb Chip RAM or some other issue. I must have only played it on my A1200 I got on launch day.

Friend had 1.3 ROM and usual 1MB of RAM A500, and was able to run the original "demos" of the game that were doing the rounds back in the day.

Cant recall where we obtained it, but considering Acid were NZ based, probably the local Amiga Auckland club.

This is the disk Acid sent out to beta testers. Beta #1 is silkscreen printed on the disk. My original disks also do not load on my A1000 and behave the same way. May be a 1mb Chip issue or an issue with my 2mb Zorro side expansion. Ghosts n Goblins is another game I never got to play on my original A1000 back in the day (different machine and different RAM expansion). Price you pay for using an A1000, few companies tested anything on that by the late 80s.

I have finally found my own A1200 I bought on launch day 1992 so I can try it on that, it's probably the machine I did the beta testing on anyway.
