[Solved] FS-UAE doesn't fetch my WHDLoad.key file.
Hello Frode,
Me again, sorry... I have recently registered to WHDLoad, unpacked my lha containing my key file for WHDLoad... Put it in my "~/Documents/FS-UAE/WHDLoad/S/" directory as stated here http://fengestad.no/fs-uae/whdload-support ...but FS-UAE doesn't use it. It has created a temporary hard disk dir in /tmp name FS-UAE.s0m3th1ng... I paused the emulator, copied manually my key file, rebooted and then it worked fine. But after quitting and launching the WHDLoad game again, my key file wasn't fetched automatically. Did the path where I should put the key file changed ? Is it still "~/Documents/FS-UAE/WHDLoad/S" (I created the WHDLoad and S dir by hand. Maybe it's case sensitive and I should rename it lowercase ?) Well, anyway thank you in advance for your answer. If you use the latest developement version you should put the key file to ~/Documents/FS-UAE

I decided to try this out (finally).
However I'm having the same problem getting FS-UAE to fetch my key. I have tried copying it to "C:\Users\[my name]\Documents\FS-UAE\whdload.key" & "F:\Documents\FS-UAE\whdload.key", but it doesn't pick it up for some reason. I changed the default path to F:\Documents in Windows because I don't want important documents and stuff to be on my Windows C:\ drive in case of a "system meltdown". Can this be the reason why I'm having this particular problem ? [edit] It's the portable version of FS-UAE 2.4.0 I'm using. [edit] Copied it to FS-UAE main dir and now it works. Yep, when using the portable version, the portable base directory takes the place of Documents/FS-UAE
