It is a software patch which loads Kickstart into RAM. Effectively allowing you to have say KS3.1 when you only have 1.3 or vice versa.

That's a good point…..I Don’t know.…If it contains the kickstart ROM then I don’t think it should be requested/uploaded.

I was thinking this the other day actually, I did look on the kickstart disk that came on a coverdisk (with flashback demo) and I couldn't see any clear KS images (or files of the same size) but I didn't look that hard or try to unpack any of them so it might well be on there...

Relokick 1.41 isn't usuable as an everyday kickstart so has no bearing on what Cloanto are selling. Its not usuable in a DOS environment because thats never what I intended it for, it was done for games that boot up and then immediately bypass the system.

Cloanto have made NO efforts to stop its distribution before and because of that, they've set a precedent where stopping it now is futile and pointless.

As said before, CU Amiga used it with the blessing of Commodore. Relokick should NEVER be considered as a kickstart replacement, more of a temporary hack for those games that it might work with.

Relokick without the kickstart rom is legal.

I have an old original Amiga disk with relokick 1.3 but would be nice to have the newest relockick version, the 1.41.

yes I am looking for relokick also, I used to have the disk on my amiga, I thought it was called retrokick, all I remember is you boot the disc up and it would boot into a 1.3, which suprisingly worked well with old games,. could someone please upload it to the ZONE?

Location where to find Relokick to keep You old Games and Demos running on a A1200 or A4000 to Degrade to an Classic A500. Relokick is to be used only on real amigas. not need for Winuae has you will more likey have the real roms from your old machines transromed across.
