@zetr0
The AD8073 is available at Digikey (AD8073JRZ and AD8073JNZ), but I don't know if they will ship to you. The LM324 will not work in this case because it cannot support the high bandwidth of a video signal (it's barely usable for 40 kHz ultrasound - I've tried). Another option is the LT6550 which is available from Newark (and is cheaper). BTW, I'll be placing an order with Newark tomorrow morning. If you want to do another combined order, send me a PM. |

Don't worry - remember, top priority is to keep wifie happy, or all hell breaks loose.

Are you still taking orders for the units? if so i am very interested, i would be happy with just a board and would source the components myself, its just i have never experimented with making my own PCB's. Thanks.

yepo... i made a thread in the market place forum
post what ya after there... I have contacted futurlec and they have recomended that I wait till after Christmas before i put an order in for the pcbs to be made.. so if you dont mind waiting.. I still have 4 prototypes to build... with work/uni/family and the ever impending Christmas but i am getting there. @digit01 I got my new hot-air smd rework station, on day 1 plugged it in and started de-soldering to get use to it.... i then for dinner tried to turn if off.... the pump went into overdrive and the unit started dancing across the worktable like Fred Astair on crack! although amusing.... its hardly productive... I had to unplug the unit to stop it, on the second day, the hot air gun failed to work.... and i am assuming the element is dead... so not so good me thinks.. I finally was able to get into contact with the guy i bought it from, and I am getting a replacement. so fingers crossed. |

Thanks for the kind words guys, I have to admit, futurlec.com did great work making the PCB's, it really made my job a whole (or hole) lot easier
@NovaCoder what we have here my friend, is an external unit (without box or LED fitted yet) it provides a switchable NTSC/PAL SVideo / Composite output and 15KHz VGA RGB |

zetro, indeed they seem to have done a great job with the PCBs. now did you say you got them for 3$ each ? and how many layers is that board ? (Hmmm ) and where they are located ?
