Ray tracing software for A500?

Hello everyone!
I am interested in creating oldschool styled graphics on my Amiga 500.
I would like to create still images and video if possible.
Can anyone supply me with some software to play with?

Thanks!!
Jake.

Try Turbo Silver, it worked on my A2000 68000. You may need more ram then basic 512k ram.
Imagine is another program.

How much ram you have?

Real 3D had pretty advanced raytracer render back in the day.
Should work just fine on A500.

I have 1MB of ram.
I looked for both Real 3D and Sculpt 4D but can't find a download for the Amiga version.

You can find downloads for all the software you're looking for quite easily.
Either do a (favourite search here) for the program name which should return plenty of links to Amiga related web sites.
Search for Amiga FTP sites. There's quite a few out there!
Look on the EAB ftp site or google mirror, you will find them on there.
(The EAB ftp has just changed its name to "The Ultimate Retro Repository for Amiga Nuts", so don't be confused)
You can find a thread on here all about how to register and access the FTP.

Just don't be surprised at the performance. I recall waiting weeks just to render a 30 second ray traced animation on my A500 back in the day.

Don't get your expectations too high with 1MB of ram. I started out with an Amiga 500 and quickly got the GVP hard drive and 8MB ram expansion. It still took an absolute age to render as well. Those were the days.

The trick is to render in low resolution first, maybe quarter of 320x200, and see if you like the result. When you do, then render in higher resolution.
