Version of WinUAE for AMiga Forever?

I have Amiga Forever 2014 and it came with WinUAE ver 2.8.1.0
I notice that WinUAE ver 3.1 is out (and has been for some time) but if I use the AmigaForever update tool - it does not say a new update avail.

So can/should I upgrade to latest winUAE, or will that cause problems and I should wait for the official update from AmigaForever?

Cheers
P.S. I notice on AmigaForever web site they do have the WinUAE 3.1 source code for download.. that mean it supported?

P.P.S I did upgrade the exe for a short time and it seemed to work.. but reverted back to the official version.

I use version 3.1. I don't think if it makes any difference until they update the GUI.

You also need to edit the text file version-winuae.txt in c:\Program Files (x86)\Cloanto\Amiga Forever\WinUAE\ to if you have a 64-bit machine or in c:\Program Files\Cloanto\Amiga Forever\WinUAE\ if you have a 32-bit machine. Just copy the text file to another location where you are allowed to edit it and then copy it over the old one. The text file have only the text 2.8.1.0 as default and when you have copied the new WinUAE 3.1.0 the text file need to have the text 3.1.0.0 inside it.

NAH. It works just fine with 3.2.1 version of WinUAE. I'm running it right now with YAM up waiting for email . Upgrading to the current version of WinUAE insures that you get the latest features you can use within the Amiga Environment with lots of improvements on stability and speed.

And if you upgrade to the current version and install to the Cloanto directory noted above - you don't have to mess around with any silly version text files either.

Regards,
