Ejecting floppy screws up the keyboard?

I'm running 2.5.30Dev on OS X 10.10.3 and have a weird issue....

Whenever I change floppy when the emulated amiga is running, the keyboard screws up. In fact I don't have to change floppy, just eject the current floppy and reinsert it.

For example:

Boot A1200 config from WB3.1
Open a shell
Type something and keyboard works fine
F12 and eject the WB floppy
F12 and reinsert the WB floppy
Type something in the shell, keyboard is screwed.

I've tried several different emulations, A1200, A500 etc and various boots from HD, disk etc and every one ends up with a screwed keyboard if I change floppy.

Hi, I have not managed to reproduce this either on Linux or on OS X. Can explain more closely what "keyboard is screwed" means? Does it not work at all? Does something weird happen?

Are you sure the problem is associated with ejecting/inserting floppies? It does not occur if you do other things in the F12 menu?

Please check/answer the above questions and also attach fs-uae.log.txt.

Ejecting floppy screws up the keyboard?

Strangely enough i had winuae do this to me the other day but completely unrelated way. It was when i switched between fullscreen and back to windowed it was getting clearly the wrong key code from the keyboard and was typing gibberish

I see this frequently too, using FS-UAE 2.4.1 on Mavericks 10.9.5. It happens after I have pressed CMD+F12 to bring up the menu. When I exit the menu, the emulator will still think either of the CMD keys are pressed down, and consequently the Amiga thinks the Amiga keys are pressed down, and I have to press the CMD keys a few times to fix it.

Thanks, this makes sense. I had tweaked the OS X preferences so I could use F12 by itself on my OS X laptop.

I'll need to add some code to "sync" keyboard state after opening/closing the menu to account for such cases.

Apologies, been away for a while

Indeed it happens just when entering and exiting the F12 menu

Load Shell and type 123456789 and all is fine. Enter and exit F12 and type 123456789 again and you get 1@345^789

dir will appear as DIR and a whole heap of other weird things go on

Will pressing and releasing either shift once not fix it?

As demolition suggest, pressing and releasing the same modifier key as you used when you entered the F12 menu should fix the keyboard state, until a proper fix is complete.
