Can anyone get Yo! Joe to run on a CD32?

I have been trying to get the WHDLoad installed Yo! Joe to boot up and run on my CD32. I have wasted too many discs now and still can't get it to work properly. On one try, it loaded up the Loading screen, and upon pressing the fire button it began to load the title screen music, then the music goes all weird and the title screen doesn't come up. Other attempts resulted in WHDLoad and AmigaDOS errors. It works every time in WinUAE, but not on a real CD32. It has nothing to do with the CD, or the way it's burned, I know how to make bootable CDs. The problem must be either with my startup sequence or with WHDLoad or the slave.

Here is my current Startup-Sequence...

C:WHDLoad C:YoJoe.Slave DATA=Cata/ BUTTONWAIT CUSTOM2=3

I put the slave and data directories in C: just to make things easier, their location really shouldn't matter though. I have tried this with WHDLoad and WHDLoadCD32, both come up with the same error message in a window saying:

Exception "Illegal Instruction" ($10) at $104DA occured.

QUIT RESTART

Has anyone managed to get Yo! Joe running on the CD32? I love this game and would love to play it on the big screen in my games room with a friend instead of just on the little monitor with the A1200.

Thanks!

Are you SURE it's on there? Did you check? Because I did, and it's not on there.

Thanks for uploading that, Boo Boo! It works, and the game plays fine, except the second button for jump is disabled and I use a control pad on my CD32. So I figured all I would need to do is add CUSTOM2=3 to the Startup-Sequence and it should work, but when I added it and burned the disc again, I get the error message "Can't find ram:"

Here's the Startup-Sequence:

Assign Env: ram:
WHDLOADCD32 Preload YoJoe.Slave CUSTOM2=3

It worked fine before I added that tooltype (it re-enables the second fire button). Is it in the wrong spot on the line?

Retro-Nerd, I'd love that 888 compilation but I'm on dialup and can't get it.

Yay, we got it working. This new startup sequence works fine, at last

WHDLOADCD32 Preload CUSTOM2=3 YoJoe.Slave

It seems the Env: assign wasn't even needed, who knows why it couldn't find ram: though. Oh well. I can finally play Yo! Joe on my CD32 with a friend, both using control pads with the jump button!

Sweet, we're gonna try and finish this awesome 2-player platformer!

I'm pretty sure a friendly EAB user from Australia could help.

CUSTOM2=3

Is this command just for the yo joe slave, or can you add this to other game startups to use a second button for 'up'?

Depends on whether the slave author has added that function to the game they are patching.
