Disk condition of Elvira II in TOSEC

Hi,
I usually don't make a message for this, but I prefer to warn you because there is a global problem on the game Elvira II in TOSEC...


The Spanish version : Disks 2/3 are not cracked
The French version : Disks 6 is corrupted
The Italian version : Disk 3/4 are corrupted
The German version : There is no distinction between cracked and uncracked disks


and I haven't finished...

That's about right...and I haven't looked at it yet, but there is usually less risk with the English version

And now, another big fail? The disk 4 of the French version by SPS is actually the disk 4 of the German version...(CRC:11B24842)
I found the real disk 4 in french..."ouf"...we are saved

The first three disks would be a problem for me too Maybe not as much as German for you, but I'm *very* far from being able to read French in a book or game

Why german ? The SPS IPF comes from my now destroyed by fire copy of Elvira 2.

btw if you want to regenerate a proper disk 6, simply make an ADF of the IPF disk 6.

I can't believe this. I did a check in the text files of disk 4, it's a mix of German and English texts files !

What Accolade has done ???

like a bad running or not recognizable set of files ie?

to be clear, these files are ok or something need to be updated/modified also there?

you need to change the files CRC for the text files fixed, otherwise Scummvm will refuse to run the game.

That's it, I finished processing all the disks I had available for the game (85 TOSEC and 74 Non-TOSEC).

As agreed, I have posted all the sets for each language in The Zone!

I checked my german Disk 4. I found 5 textfiles. 04, 05, 07 08, 09.
04, 05, 07, 08 has german text and 09 have english text.
Was it on your Disk the same?

Yes Crashdisk is right. I found the same in the IPF of the french release.

Accolade seems to have completely cocked up the game releases !

just made a quick test with the new Italian adf's set with ScummVM
game still detected correctly, played a bit into it

i had never played the localized version bitd, maybe it's time to attempt a longplay

Uhm I suppose these problems affect also the WHDLoad installed version?

EDIT: reinstalled WHDLoad v1.4 (ITA) using these fixed ADFs, and done a binary comparison: nothing changes in the data files. So WHDLoad version I had was fine.
