Ah hah! Snagged an original Faery Tale Adventure retail package

So I managed to acquire an original, 1987 Faery Tale Adventure package including box, disks, manual, the whole works.

Now, I'm not saying that this makes me better than all of you guys...

...but...I'm not saying it doesn't... ;-D

And how much did this set you back?

What are the original disks worth on their own? I'm sure I have this but as with all my games, no boxes or manuals anymore!

I spent way too many hours playing that game in 1988.

Well done

A great game on which I spent many hours of exploration BitD. Still one of my favourite.

Hope you will find the time to enjoy it (again)

Not sure it makes you better than all us

...the original game has audio issues in the intro

We all use ross's uber fix; see here for details: Faery Tale Adventure - Sound Issues

As I had suspected! I still have the disk! I am really beginning to regret keeping them now without boxes! Just found Indiana Jones disks too! Grr... I'll image this just in case it is updated version (v1.1)?

UPDATE: Well I don't hear ANY music in the beginning when the book appears or in the game itself. Is this normal as part of glitch? I've tested my image on WinUAE and same issue.

UPDATE 2: Ran the game on A1000 (via Amiga Forever and changing it to 512K chip RAM as standard 256K threw memory error) - it seems to run my disk okay. So I think I can say for certain mine is not the patched version lol.

Nice

The sealed bags look modern though, don't think they were part of the original release!

True.. the exploration book didn`t come with the game. That was a separate thing.

I'm not sure if that was directed at me. I literally own two working Amigas.
