Amiga 1200 wont boot, no insert disk, no drive click. power is on,

I am totally confused, the floppy is connected fine but no clicks, just a grey screen for a few secs then black On resetting with control amiga amiga I see a blue screen?

Grey = CPU is working,
Blue = Chipset fault.

Only things Ive done is add the accelerator card, was waiting for a compact flash adapter to arrive, went to try it and this happens.

Has the CF adapter arrived? If so did you plug it in the right way round?

aye I plugged it in fine and even when its out, same thing so I wont blame that its looking likely that I will have an accelerator for sale thou:/

NO, not yet.

You can try a burn in if you have a chipset fault. Sometimes it happens that the smd comes loose and needs to be BURNed again. This means heated till melting point of tin.

This is a last resort option! 50% chance it works or not.

Remove all external parts, so only the motherboard and chips that a SMD. Remove cpu, paula, etc.

Heat up your oven up to 200 degrees. Place the motherboard into aluminium foile so it's completly cover in it. Put it into the oven and leave it there for about 10 minutes. NOT MORE!!

Take it out and put it down to cool. Lateron remove the foil and try.
