Just a small list

Hi,

I've got these originals that haven't been WHDified (Whoever came up with that term is a genius )

I know some of them already have HD Installers on them but I've listed them anyway, just in case someone did want to create an install.

-----

Impact 95

Foundations Waste (Full Game from US Gold that came on a coverdisk with an Atari ST/Amiga Magazine - not sure which one)

Sinbad and the Throne of the Falcon

Flightpath 737

Zool (Both of my versions will not install with the WHDload installers)

Dark Fusion (Single disk version, not a compilation, does not work with the installer)

Captain Planet (My version does not work with the installer - got to check this one again though)

HATE (Full coverdisk version, free with 'New Computer Express' doesn't install with current installer)

Fusion (I believe this one is too OS heavy/reliant?)

James Pond (Non Dos version)

Chessmaster 2000

Garrison

S.D.I (Cinemaware - not one listed in WIP)

Valhalla and The Lord of Infinity

Testament

Exile (A1200 Version)

Ferrari Formula One

Jet Pilot

Black Shadow

XTreme Racing

Protector (Budget game, got it fro £2.99)

Morph (AGA Version, not supported in current installer)

Worms

Lemmings (I have a 2 disk version and a 1 disk version - one is not supported)

Wing Commander

X-Out (2 disk version not supported - might have to check this one)

------

Well that was fun, I've probably got some wrong, or something, but that's my list (I think)

Just thought people might want to know.

Not yet, but I'd be willing to help.

I though HOL was finished! Shows how much I know.

I don't actually have any of the boxes anymore because my uncle binned them all

I was not a happy person that day. :eek

So I only have the disks themselves.

Would you want them scanned?

I can't do screengrabs either unfortunately, unless there is some easy way to do it on an amiga without hardware mods. Or unless they are imagable and I can run them through WinUAE.

I'd be glad to scan them if you want the disk scans though. Any particular resolution/format?

Captain Planet? Masochist!

Xtreme Racing is actually HD installable out of the box. And it should work on high spec Amigas too, because it needs all the power it can get. Certainly works fine on my A1200/030/10mb.

Think I have a preinstalled Zool, will get back to you on that.

I didn't buy Captain Planet by the way, I was given it by a mate about a year ago, he phoned me up and said "I'm gonna chuck my A500+ and wondered if you wanted it instead"

I didn't even have to think twice.

It came with a load of games, most of which are terrible.

I know XTreme Racing is HD Installable, i just put it down for completeness (I did say in the original message) and after all it doesn't have a whd installer which was the point of my post.

I downloaded the whd version of zool ages ago, I just find it strange that I have two versions of Zool which both don't work under CAPS.

With regards to HOL, I have another 75 original disks if you need any help finding disk scans.

one quick question...

That Zool you uploaded to the zone, has it got a working whdload keyfile in it!?! :eek

If it has, I really dont think it's the type of thing that should be shared. It's just my opinion, but I think WHDload needs all the support it can get, and sharing keys is a bit of an asshole thing to do.

If it isn't just ignore the above!

Yeah, HOL is a long ways from finished. Yes, any diskscans are useful, if you can contribute, that would be great. 300dpi is the best default for scans and being just disks, it shouldn't end up being too large. So if you can scan these as JPEG, 300dpi and up to the Contributors FTP, that would be swell!

btw: feel free to dump the undumped games and upload to caps ftp sometime
If your equipment changed since your last dump (like ppc, nic, gfx card added etc.) do a test dump first, but you'll most likely need the new dumping disk (see caps thread).

give me a chance!

I'm scanning the disk images (no not adfs ) at the moment.

I have to setup my Amiga before I start dumping CAPs. Give me a week and I'll start my upload. (I also have to buy a zip disk first)

But I promise I will start dumping them.

Erm... actually somebody brave enough does the scans

Seriously ask Fiath for an uptodate scanning guide (the one at caps thread is a bit outdated atm), read it very carefully for a few times, then get scanning

Once ready upload to the ftp and that's it.

Thanks!

I've just managed to buy a 100MB Parallel zip disk for my PC so getting the CAPS images back to my PC should be a doddle. (If none of the images are over 90-odd MB )

I should get it in the post within a week or so, so dumping should commence then.

I'll start with Menace as it's in the wanted section.

If there are any others from my list you want to give priority just ask.

I posted a list of all my original disks here...

http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?s=&threadid=9311

Wish me luck!

One of the most wanted things is the Lemmings (Commodore Promo) thing if that is indeed the disk we are after (details on wanted page). We have two dumps, but none of them are that disk for real.
Actually the original developers are looking for it, so it is high priority - you could make some nostalgic devs very happy with that disk

Good luck
