Cool Wolfenstein 3D Remake

Just stumbled upon it [ Show youtube player ], and reading the description also found the download linky on (only ~5,5MB rar'd and ~9MB ready to play).

Looks pretty nice, we've got a map, more info on screen, the ceiling texture has been added...

I think the ceiling and floor textures are pretty ugly, though (in that screenshot at least).

A map is a cool addition, though.

^ Wut gimby said.

No fullscreen mode, original midi recorded as MP3, original sound effects, no improved graphics...
Sorry, but the abandoned OpenGL port was way more interesting. I prefer to use the original via DosBox than this remake.

Wow.

When I thought remake, I thought everything from the graphics, sound, whole presentation would get a massive overhaul.

This remake is just crap... No offense.

Aren't remakes supposed to have better graphics?

no, not necessarily. A remake should be better, not look better.

So they added some GUI, that doesnt look like it belongs to the game, and added some roof textures. Great

I mean you can easily run the original anyway so why bother with running some remake.

I was talking about the PC version. The Atari port looks sweet
