What game is this ?
I last played this game yonks ago.. 92.. It had a map which you had to conquor. The map had gold mines which was a source of finance. I _think_ the title had "Vikings" in it, but not to sure. I know its not a great description, but thats all I can remember .. except the fact that is was kewl fun
Thanks! |

I know it was not any of the main stream strategy building games like Civ, Settlers, Populus, Colonization.

I don't recall any vikings in Lost dutchman's mine.
You sure it was an Amiga game? There was a C64 game called Vikings which I think was a strategy game. |

Funky Scan Dizzy, but the screen dump posted by Belgarath is the closest to the game I'm talking about look liked. The land texture looked _very_ similar to that, but I think some regions within the land had a small icon of a mine if that region produced gold units. I will have to check out "kingdoms of england 2 - vikings" it might be it.
Thanks for all of your posts! |

Vikings -Field of Conquest
I know a game called Vikings -Field of Conquest which was produced Summer 1992 by Krisalis (I think). It looked like a strategy/trading game and a had real life-like map of the world displayed most of the time. Pity I don't have an ADF of this game.

if you look at the bottom of the box scan you can see that kingdoms of england 2 - vikings is the same as vikings - fields of conquest. the 1st being how it was (apparently wrongly) tosec named

Exactly, which is what compelled me to post that coverscan. It gets kind of confusing with so many subtitles on a game, especially in a request thread like this one. So when I noticed the multiple names all slopped onto the box, I thought it may resolve some of the confusion, which the TOSEC name wouldn't be able to accomplish (although, heaven forbid they should try to get all of that in the TOSEC name!)

So, can we resolve this one, Miggy2TheMax? Is this the right game or not?
