Simon CD32 on a 2x cd Amiga 4000

I have an A4000 with a scsi 4x Toshiba drive, and the game stutters on voices. I wonder if anyone with a 2x drive can share experiences. Considering downgradinh my 4x to 2x

I use idefix cd32 tool. I tried also the comand to set speed to 2x located on the CD. No help.

I think that will break the CDDA music, so not an option sadly.

Several years ago installed the CD32 version to hard drive. Even on a 50mhz 030 I was still getting stuttering speech.

personally I prefer to play gfx adventures without voices because
generally the voices are horrible and make you waste lot of time listening to them

it is preferable to read the txt ,because is faster and you will have a better understanding of the game, also the voices interferes with the music and in the case of Simon the music is fantastic
