Looks like a nice piece of software. Any plans to port this to other OS's?

No plans yet... I might try to port it to Linux this year.

Let me know if I can do anything to help, I have a number of Linux & FreeBSD systems and I can code in C (although not nearly as well as in assembly).

New Protracker 3.6 pattern view. Used for PT 3.6 mods. Might add an option to use this pattern view for all Protracker mods.

I'm gonna try to compile a version for another OS. Started with Linux but then I realized that FMOD (the soundengine I use) isn't yet available for Linux, however it should be shortly. So next on my agenda is to try to get an OS X-version rolling. I've hardly never used a Mac before so it's gonna be interesting... first step is done: installing a virtual OS X.

Great feature! Is it possible to auto-split the wav output files? If not it'd be a nice feature.
edit: I am outputting these to wav and even though the "playing" has stopped, the .wav file keeps growing and BZR has to quit. |

The output to wav is very basic, it will start recording once you start the program and stop when you quit. It's on my TODO-list to make it a little better...

Checked it today for the first time (Win7 64Bit). I added a directory into the playlist window and it showed all files fine. But accidentally I added some mp3 and .exe files. If BZR encounters these files it crashes. Sometimes it will also crash if I try to remove such a file from the playlist. Also corrupted modules will result in a crash. Does it support HVL or only AHX? Because my HVL files will also crash it :-)

Both or HVL and AHX should work fine, and though it might be possible to get a crash if an exe-file happens to match the signature of a sound format it's VERY seldom. I've tested several 10 thousands of mods and a crash is also very rare. So I think there's some other issue. Can you reproduce a crash?

Yes I can reproduce this. Take the testing123.hvl for example. It crashes here instantly.

Works fine when I test it. Are you sure all program files are from the same version? For example using plugins from 0.99 with the 1.00 exe will not work.

Hmm. I just downloaded the 1.0 zip, unzipped that into a folder and started the .exe. So nothing special. BTW this is my corporate laptop without any DirectX installation and I do not have admin rights.
What is the normal behavior if an unknown file is encountered? Just skip or is there a warning? |

Is it possible to make BZR Player play the songs from Indiana Jones 4 and Monkey Island 2 (Amiga versions of course). I have yet to find any player that is able to play songs from these games. Some of them sound much better than the PC midi versions.
Well... Actually I don't even know how to rip them |

@Alexco
DirectX should not be an issue. Not sure about admin rights. If you right click/Settings/Enable logging you could take a look in the log and see if there are anything that might explain it. If a file is unplayable it's just skipped, and marked with a line thought it in the playlist. @ancalimon Indy IV uses Martin Walker-format...not supported at the moment. I don't know what format Monkey Island II use...so I don't know if it's possible to play... |
