Clockwiser. Only ever played the demo on the CD32 but do remember enjoying it.

Minskies is a great game, a puyo puyo clone.

I like this one, you still get to pick from at least 50% of the game library but it's a very different pool of games. By "No shooting" I am going to assume no projectiles of any kind. Perhaps it would have been easier to figure which games are in or out if it had been "no killing".

But since it's no shooting...

I may change my mind after this has been swirling around in my brain for a long time but for now I'm going to have to go with Prince of Persia for single player and probably Twintris for multiplayer...

I meant no Shoot'Em-Ups of ANY kind, but it seems that's harder to pin down.

It is. My first thought was Gods. But... yeah do you consider that a shoot em up? I would consider it a puzzle platformer but you do throw a whole lot of projectiles and you do a whole lot of killing in it which gives it a run & gun aspect...

Actually you 'shoot' pool and 'play' snooker but I accept that you can also take a shot in snooker!!!

I love our friend Foebane.. don't get me wrong...
but the question is... kind of vague.
My rough estimate is that the half games are using firearms, and half not... but who cares?
If you'd ask "How many Amiga games are (potentially) aggressive (which would be much more interesting question imho), then my answer would be something like 70-80%
But my point is:
You could ask million questions like this.
Like:
- How many games characters didn't use their legs?
- How many games characters can fly, and throw up, while flying?
- How many games there's no sex (and opposite)?
- How many games main characters have psoriasis?
.. and so on...

Don't get me wrong.. I don't think that I had amazing threads myself (lot's of them stared when I was drunk)... but this is really too vague/random questions..

(as I hate to only criticize, here's my alternatives)

How about questions like this: )
- Flat shading in Amiga, and why it is underestimated? (actually, I'll open this thread myself soon.. so don't bother)
- How many friends you convinced to buy Amiga?
- Can Amiga render stuff, that could be used for a movies like Starship Troopers, Independence day, Jurassic Park, T2?
- Why you don't think Doom is the best game?

And so on..

P.S. All of the Lotus (TEC) Games have hidden games with shooting in it.
(I II III)

Joe Blade II. (The 1st one has guns)

HeroQuest

Hmm, Fire And Ice - Shooting/Throwing bubbles (icewhateverthingies) ?

Titus the Fox
Hoi

The Flintstones, Garfield BFHD, Garfield Winter Tail, Dithell's Wonderland.

PP Hammer maybe.

Yeah it's a bit like OP asks for best Amiga games with no gore involved, e.q. slaying, freezing, frying, molesting enemies / baddies (Worms comes to mind) etc.
and then suddenly goes :
Scratch that, now tell me folks, what are your favorite puzzle games ?

I can respect that question too, the Amiga was AWESOME for puzzle games. But even the definition of a puzzle game is a little vague because some people would consider Tetris to be a puzzle game, I really don't. Quick reaction times and planning one piece ahead are not really the same as thinking out a problem. Do point & click adventure games count as puzzle games? I think yes.

I would go for Valhalla 2 single player... I can't really come up with a multiplayer puzzle game to be honest. Maybe I can be a little forgiving and pick Plotting, it involves a little more problem-solving than Tetris.

No love for Merv the Mercyless (sic)? An amazingly violent game with no guns or weapons.
