APoV Games Chart

As all nine of our dedicated readers will know, APoV has a top 20 games chart - as always, presented in the style of magazines from back in the day.

The chart's placings are based on reader votes rather than sales. I stole that idea from CRASH and Zzap!, partly because I always thought it gave a better reflection of a game's level of esteem and lasting popularity than transient sales figures did, and partly because Amiga games don't sell any more. Mostly that second thing.

The point of this post? To ask for votes! Just name your top 5 Amiga games and I and MS Excel will do the rest.

BTW, it doesn't have to be your Top 5 Of All Time Evah - it could just be the games you're particularly into at this present moment. That would actually be more interesting, I think.

If you're too shy to post your favourites here, you can PM them to me. I won't judge.

P.S. The Settlers is the current #1, with SWOS at #2 and Wings at #3. Feel free to vote for SWOS and put it in its rightful place at the top. Or troll me and vote en masse for Dangerous Streets. Whatever.

P.P.S. Yeah, I know Lemon Amiga has a similar thing. And HOL. And every other games site. But APoV exists in its own parallel dimension where the year is always 1994, AI hasn't made us all obsolete, and the internet isn't really a thing. It's just a bit of fun

Interesting, thanks! I think you might have misspelt SWOS somewhere, though.

*bump*

I'm still after people's favourite games, so scribble them here if the spirit moves you.

You can name a single game if naming five is too much of a stretch. Or three, or two, or four, whatever

Thanks! There's a definite preference for action games so far. Which is fine by me

If we get ten responses Cody's promised to video himself running down the high street wearing nothing but an elf hat, not on his head, and post it on Mastodon.

Just sayin.

Just when I wanted to add my image I saw that you had one in mind too (but it doesn't show).

Thanks, Wayne I'll tabulate your picks on my TRS-80.

And thanks for the salty balls, TCD. Yeah, for some reason the board didn't let me share my hot nuts with everyone.

Thanks and thanks! I'll have to buy a second trained chimp at this rate.

The first one's getting uppity anyway. Wouldn't open the pod bay doors the other day.

Might as well throw in my effort.

#1 Deuteros
#2 Hired Guns
#3 The Chaos Engine
#4 Speedball 2
#5 Populous II

You doin other types of Top5? maybe something like a Top5 of games you would have liked to have seen on the Amiga even in a more basic form that it might have managed but we didnt get.
