Z-Out small gfx corruption
Hiii, i just tried to transfer Z-Out. The adf are taken from the EAB file server, there are no CRC32 errors, i prefer to tell before someone asks.
Everything seems to work perfectly except one little thing : there is a gfx corruption in the level 5 during a few seconds at almost the beginning (all colours are totally wrongs). It lasts 5 seconds maximum, after all is ok again. So is this a wellknow bug of the SKR cracked versions ? Did anyone experience this ? I can upload a video if it helps. For now, since all the ADF i transfered have the same problem, i choosed the most complete trained version. Thanks for your help ! |

That is a problem of the original Z-Out itself, and has been fixed in the WHDLoad install.

I didnt want to start a new thread, so I will ask my Z-Out question here:
Any idea why Z-Out doesn't advance past loading the logo? It displays the starfield (constantly moving) the Z-out and advantec logo and thats it, nothing else happens. Using WHDLoad version with WinUAE. It was working fine, not sure what has happened. Thanks EDIT: SOLVED! If I use this WHDLoad.prefs, Z-Out will not start: ; ; global configuration file for WHDLoad ; searched as "S:whdload.prefs" ; ; CLI-Arguments and ToolTypes will overwrite these ! ; ;ButtonWait ;wait for button pressed (slave must support this) ;ChipNoCache ;disable cachebility of Chip-Memory ;CoreDumpPath=T: ;path for coredump files ;DebugKey=$5b ;rawkey code to quit with coredump (debug) ;ExecuteStartup=rx offline.rexx ;command to execute on WHDLoad startup ;ExecuteCleanup=rx online.rexx ;command to execute on WHDLoad exit ;Expert ;selects expert mode ;FreezeKey=$5d ;rawkey code to enter HrtMon/TK ;MMU ;use MMU (for 68030) ;NoAutoVec ;ignore unwanted autovector interrupts ;NoFilter ;disable audio filter ;NoFlushMem ;do not flush memory ;NoMemReverse ;do not allocate memory reverse ;NoWriteCache ;disable the disk write cache QuitKey=$19 ;ReadDelay=150 ;wait after reading from disk (1/50 seconds) ;RestartKey=$5c ;rawkey code to restart ;ShowRegs=SYS:Utilities/MuchMore W WL=80 WT=80 WW=582 WH=700 ;command for Show Regs SplashDelay=0 ;time to display splash window (1/50 seconds) ;WriteDelay=150 ;wait after saving something to disk (1/50 seconds) If I use this file, it works fine: ; ; global configuration file for WHDLoad ; searched as "S:whdload.prefs" ; ; CLI-Arguments and ToolTypes will overwrite these ! ; ;ButtonWait ;wait for button pressed (slave must support this) ;ChipNoCache ;disable cachebility of Chip-Memory ;CoreDumpPath=T: ;path for coredump files ;DebugKey=$5b ;rawkey code to quit with coredump (debug) ;ExecuteStartup=SYS:Rexxc/rx offline.rexx ;command to execute on WHDLoad startup ;ExecuteCleanup=SYS:Rexxc/rx online.rexx ;command to execute on WHDLoad exit ;Expert ;selects expert mode ;FreezeKey=$5d ;rawkey code to enter HrtMon/TK ;MMU ;use MMU (for 68030) ;NoAutoVec ;ignore unwanted autovector interrupts ;NoFilter ;disable audio filter ;NoFlushMem ;do not flush memory ;NoMemReverse ;do not allocate memory reverse ;NoWriteCache ;disable the disk write cache ;QuitKey=$5a ;rawkey code to quit ;ReadDelay=150 ;wait after reading from disk (1/50 seconds) ;RestartKey=$5c ;rawkey code to restart ;SavePath=SYS:WHDSaves ;base directory for all saves ;ShowRegs=SYS:Utilities/MuchMore W WL=80 WT=80 WW=582 WH=700 ;command for Show Regs ;SplashDelay=200 ;time to display splash window (1/50 seconds) ;WriteDelay=150 ;wait after saving something to disk (1/50 seconds) Not sure why that happens, but its working now. Could someone confirm or explain this please? Many thanks! Last edited by jimmy2x2x; 04 April 2011 at 03:12. |

Thanks a lot for your answer Harry.
But i don't use WHDLoad at all so I think it would be nice to have a 100% clean floppy version. For all users that don't use WHDLoad or those with a basic A500 or A1200 too. And because this game is wonderfull and deserves it. So i ask the question, since this fix had already been done for the WHDLOAD version (i suppose it won't be difficult to do so) : can anyone fix the floppy versions ? A trained one , normal and "f AGA", would be wonderfull. I am waiting for your answers. Thanks a lot for your help ! P.S : i must say that i am very surprise that the game was released with a such bug ! How couldn't they see this really !? |
