Gods - controllable jumps

Ever wondered what Gods on Amiga would look like with controllable jumps?

Now you can find out!

Use this slave and enable controlled jump feature with:
Custom5=1

Please leave feedback either its positive or negative..
Once enough testing is done, will submit to WHDload.de to make it official!

Thanks in advance and happy new-year!

Interesring idea, I always think that jump mechanics were part of gameplay and You need to accept how it was done. On other hand I remember that I totally do not like Hudson Hawk for not controllable jumps.

Playing it when I was younger, in my opinion the control was agitating to say the least...
The SNES version had controllable jumps, so why not the Amiga version?
Give it a try if you wish.. its optional anyway.

Btw, I made it also allows re-grabbing the same ladder if you accidentally jump and are blocked by a wall..

Also works with with the 2-buttons option

Great addition. It makes the jump way more precise now. This is how it should have been in the first place.

Ah the first real world tester!!!! Thanks for trying it and giving feedback!
Did you try the feature with 1 button or in combination with the 2 buttons ?

Let me know if you notice any glitches or problems arisen from that feature.
I tackled most of them... and tested various effects before concluding to this current one which is the most acceptable and stable..

There could be an issue allowing you to accidentally jump when you are jumping to grab on a ladder, since you need to push up and direction.. at least you can return to re-grab the ladder quickly if you got good reflexes...
(it needs some movement precision). For this reason I allowed the quick re-grab when you are jumping off a ladder towards a wall next to the ladder..
(except for when you are on the topmost of the ladder, it allows you to jump and hit the wall)

Using the pre-existing "2 button" feature in combination with this, there is no issue at all since you can push up and direction to travel and grab a ladder without pressing the jump button...

Yes, i tested in combination with the "blue button for jump" WHDLoad option. Had no issues at all.

Will this fix ever be included in the official WHDLoad patch? I hope so.

It doesn't seem to work with US Konami version.
Jumping behaves exactly as it always have.
