Stereo separation has no effect
Or my ears aren't working. I can't tell the difference between 0%, 50% or 100%, and this is Paula audio from OctaMED SS.
Perhaps I don't understand the basic concept, what would the difference between 0% and 50% be? Surely 100% would mean that each channel, none of the audio is duplicated to the other channel and as you progress towards 0%, the audio from one channel would be copied into the other, volume rising in the other channel until it matches the original channel at 50%, whereby futher continuation to 0% would decrease the volume in the in the original channel. 50% would be mono and 0% would be swapped channels? It sounds wrong but I can't grasp how else it should work. Edit === Had a quick read here: http://72.14.235.104/search?q=cache:...lnk&cd=1&gl=au Is it that WinUAE will add a time delay if you have your speakers unequally spaced? http://propellerhead-reason.blogspot...th-stereo.html I think the title should be changed, to what, I don't know. Obviously it does have some effect, I just can't hear it on my setup. Last edited by MickJT; 31 December 2007 at 18:19. Reason: Might have figured it out |

I guess SS already mixes the sound to both channels. (Why does everyone always use some complex program when testing features? Always try something simple first)
