searching for 2 very old games
Yes, I'm searching for 'Delta Patrol' and 'Monkey Business', which is said to be the first commercial Amiga game ever ( I heard it is even older than 'Mindwalker' )
Thanks guys |

Ditto. I went through every nook and cranny obscure tucked-away directory in my cool-ection. Didn't see hide nor hair. Never even heard mention of these games before this thread. Sorry.

I did some investigation. Delta Patrol and Monkey Business were by The Other Valley Software.
They are listed here: http://www.enkil.demon.co.uk/Pages/aminos1.html Ami Sector One lists Delta Patrol here: http://amiga.emucamp.com/scripts/rea...us.pl?number=d They were on the ST around 1986, so they must have been converted to the Amiga. |

Can anyone submit a screen shot of Delta Patrol from other platforms? I could have sworn I ran into an ADF of mine that featured a really old crappy game with lots of green grass and little soldier dudes. This was several months ago and I never renamed the game so I need encouragement before I rummage through more crap.

Delta patrol
I've uploaded delta patrol, no sign of monkey business though. But, I'll keep looking. Is monkey business a commercial release then?

Great Thanks for upping, Warlock !
I don't know for sure if Monkey Business is a commercial game, but I have heard it was the first commercial Amiga game ever. Also, since Cody found out it was made by the same company than Delta Patrol it should be commercial, too. ( that is if Delta Patrol was commercial ? ) |

Based upon what info I have read, they are both commercial releases.
I think. |

Think 1985, Fred.
Is Monkey Business the ONLY commercial Donkey Kong clone? (do not count Bignonia's brilliant port of the C64 version) |

Has anyone found Monkey Business yet? If no, then it appears that Monkey Business is the rarest, oldest commercially released Amiga game. I'm sure it must be stuck on some compact disk somewhere, just like Delta Patrol. I found some info about it on groups.google.com:

Monkey business
It's actually on the compact disk - Automation 42 on the Atari ST, if you just want to play it. But, still no sign of the Amiga version though.
I'll upload Automaton 42 to the zone in a minute. The levels are very similar to the original apart from some slight graphic changes. Maybe Nintendo stepped in before an official amiga release got to the shops. I wonder if any other hard to find Amiga games exist on the Atari ST? |

Well, if anyone wants to ask, just ask me, the resident owner of an Atari St until 1995. Come on, ask, whores.
Like, I can tell you if you want to play the mysterious Dive Bomber, by Gremlin, play the excellent Atari St version. Or, if you have an itch to play the awesome Dragon's Breath, play it on the Atari St. Just ask. I am here. Or I will beat youse silly. |
