Amiga 500 Limited Edition (Stefanie special edition)
I was careful not to post this yersterday as people would most certainly mistake it for an April Fool's joke...
A friend of mine brought this over during the Kick Off tournament we had yesterday: Have you ever seen this Amiga before? It looks way cool. |

You're all jealous, me thinks.
Come on, admit it, of course nobody would buy this as his main Amiga, but wouldn't it be nice to have as a collector's item? |

I wouldn't say those models were "limited".. maybe to european markets
I recall that they were on sale here in finland as "Artist-series".. one with boing balls, one with tigerscheme and according to amiga hardware, a model with "artist series" label printed on the top of the machine.. haven't seen that one though IRL. Nothing else than a normal A500 with a silkscreen printing on the top part of the case.. have a few of them in my closet right now.. |

I actually like these!
Not because they look good (thought the one with the balls does) but because they are different and LEGITIMATE! Imagine how much one of these could go for on ebay! |

They pop up on Ebay now and then and fetch prices up to 150,- Euros !
10.000 were made, but not all were sold because they cost about 50,- Euro more than a standard A-500, but besides the upper case part was exactly the same, so only few people bought them. Somewhere I heard not more than ~3000 of each were actually sold. I remember some new upper designer cases were sold separatly some years later in Germany, but you can identify a 'real' one from a 'later self-built-one' by the serial number and the typically yellowed keyboard with the little bit more blocky keys. The ball design and lepard design are original, the Artist-Sticker I have seen on different A-500s, but I think you could apply them yourself if you wanted. There also exists a Amiga monitor by Philips (CM 8833-II) which fits to the designer Amigas! If anyone is interested in a trade or buy - I have a ball design one and also a designer monitor |

Overdoc, how much would you charge for the ball design Amiga, and can you post a few pictures of it ?
Thanks. |

The Stefanie special edition Amiga 500's... lots of nice pics!
Going off the Retro Gamer thread, I thought I'd upload these pics I saved from last year
I really wish I'd bought this at the time as they were less than 100 euros! and the other version she did, P.S. If anyone does own one then let me know |
