NEC MultiSync® LCD1880NX suitable for A1200 ?

Hi,

Does this can be ok with a vga adaptor ?

I didn't find this monitor on the NEC homepage, but all the other recent monitors have horizontal frequencies from 31 - 81 kHz, so no, they don't work on the Amiga.

Note that "Multisync" is the name of monitors from NEC. It has nothing to do with Amiga and does say nothing about whether it works on the Amiga or not. The general name for such monitors is multiscan. But still this says nothing about Amiga-cappable or not. In fact all modern monitors are multiscan monitors because they support a range of frequencies rather than only one fixed frequency. The problem is that the range does not include the Amiga's output frequency.

Thanks for the information, i don't find the precise spec of this monitor but i'm afraid that you are right.

I see a similar monitor the LCD2090UXi and the freq are not correct.

Scanning Frequency
31.50 kHz to 91.10 kHz Horizontal Analog
31.50 kHz to 99.40 kHz Horizontal Digital

The only solution i found is :
http://www.microvitec.co.uk/

But i don't found a resseler !

If you are going to buy a new display anyway, why don't you consider a TV with SCART input ? Should be ideal for the Amiga. Most of them have VGA, either, so you can use it for a PC, too.

I actually use a small LCD TV with my A1200.
It was a cheap model and the colors are dirty.

The TV is ok but i only have laced hight res that i can display.
Do you know how i can output a 31khz signal from the Amiga ? (i only have a basic A1200 with acc card 68030), i want to be able to display higher non laced res.
I actually use a laced mode (640x512)

Without a scandoubler/flickerfixer you'll have flicker on your TV/CD panel.

For SLOW Workbench operation you can use VGA-only icon on the DEVS/DOSDRIVER drawer + productivity. But on games you'll never see the screen.

Thanks for the tips, but what i want is to be able to display WorkBench with no flicker and to be able to switch to other Resolution for game automaticaly.

So you say that with a scandoubler i can do the job ?
