The Vague #1 AGA-RTG edition is released !

For all those who do not have Warp3D on their Amigas, we have released a plain system AGA/RTG edition for the first issue!

There are some looses of quality when compared to the Warp3D version (no pixel scrolling, different effects, and all graphics are 8bit, not 24). But in
other aspects it's the same Diskmag.

Min system req: 030/AGA/PAULA/8mb. But for fast rendering of articles and AHI mode, 060-66 is preferable of course. You must to know that with version 4.0 of AHI it will be slowly when compared to AHI version 6.0.

AGA-RTG edition will also work on A1/Pegasos (RTG), but in fact that A1/Pegasos have Warp3D support, this release will make sense only for plain classic users, who still use the classic Amigas, or for Amithlon users, which does not have Warp3D support.

We have fully reconstructed our web page and are happy to present this to you.

Our official site: http://vague.lorraine-design.com/
aga & rtg edition: http://vague.lorraine-design.com/the..._1_aga-rtg.lha

You can also find new screenshoots on the web page, videos and music from both versions of Diskmag. We have also uploaded a video from Pianeta Amiga 2007, where the Warp3D version was shown.

In other words, enjoy. We also have plans to make an AROS version of Diskmag for the second issue and your contributions are most welcome.

I like the mag, trying to read it in my free time. I have never coded for amiga and reading the coding section is very educative for me

Congrats for the good work

I only have aga/68030..... But, the html version allows me to read the mag anyway (and I can play the music on my miggy) Hurray

And I can't wait for the next issue either (hope they do an html version for this one, too).

Cool stuff

thanks all for good words for second issue planned: warp3d, aga-rtg, html and aros (aga-rtg recompilation) version.

Thorham, AGA-RTG edition will works for you also. (030/AGA/Paula is ok). It will be a bit slow while article rendering is happenes (somethink about 4-5 seconds), but in other aspects it will works ok for you. We tested it on 030 while works on it, so, you can try.

Pyromania, i do not know english very well, but looks like you mean 'want i do a new logo for discretfx or not'. Well, personally why not, but all graphics was done not by me, but by some others ppls. And as always it happenes amiga graphicans always have tons of stuff which is need it works on. But I will ask of course.

This mag is awesome! Gives some of us non-sceners a perspective on others opinions. Not to mention it gives good coding suggestions along with the rationale which are hard to find elsewhere.
