Can a network share be mapped so DirOpus can access it?

I currently have some problems in getting my 32GB or 16GB CF card to be read from the PCMCIA interface so I am considering if getting a network card for my Amiga 1200 is a better solution.

I have a Linux server that has shared some Amiga stuff and I would like to know if it would be possible to have the Amiga accessing this directly from e.f. Directory Opus 4, so I can copy files from the network share to my Amiga (transfer of a large game collection etc.)?

You can mount NFS and SMB shares.

My solution is to run an FTP server on my Linuxbox and both my PC and Amiga map a specific ftp-account as a drive. So now I just copy the stuff from WinPC to the drive and it can instantly be seen from Amiga as drive AFTP:

I just can't remember the name of the Amiga software (using FTP Netdrive on the WinPC) but I'll look into it if needed.
