PacMan '96 - AGA or OCS/ECS?

Hello all,
on HOL they say that PacMan '96 is for OCS/ECS hardware but I've only found the AGA version.
Is there a mistake on HOL or is it possible to find the OCS/ECS version somewhere? If so, can someone post a link or upload it in the zone?
Thanks!

The game should be OCS/ECS, but requires 68020 and KS2.x (see AmigaGuide docs on disk). HOL isn't perfect, but we place great importance on trying to get it right!

Looks like a very cool PacMan clone that I've never heard of before.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention

You are welcome my friend!

I've "installed" the game on the hard drive of my A1200 (just copied all the files from the floppy to the hdd) but it is missing a nice icon... that's a pity!

it would be nice to have an .lha archive of this game ready to be unpacked on a system with a beautiful icon to "double click" on...

Oh I already have "Deluxe Pac-Man" (both OCS/ECS & AGA versions) by "Vigdal, Edgar" in my WinUAE collection

"Super Pac-Man 92" doesn't look all that hot; guess I should try anyway

Hello again EAB peeps! Last night I did a massive HOL update for PacMan '96:

http://hol.abime.net/5632

It now details both minimum and recommended specs. While OCS/ECS/KS2.x + 020 are the min. specs, the game has enhanced AGA/graphics card support and there's also an AmigaOS4 port (see screenshots) that was performed by one of the original coders. Anyway, the HOL entry now has a whole bunch of download links for the game itself (68K/OS4), as well as extra levels (people here have already spotted those!) that were made by fans of the game (high praise indeed for a PD game!). Now go play PacMan '96 if you haven't already!

There are actually icons for the game in the combined 68K/OS4 (HD version) archive that can be downloaded from OS4 Depot and Aminet. Having said that, they might not be as colourful 'n' trendy as the ones Amigasystem upped!

FYI the PacMan '96 ADF is a cut-down release of the HD version (all Xmas files were removed as recommended in the docs coz the game wouldn't fit on floppy otherwise), and for some odd reason the game icon and German docs were removed also. The combined 68K/OS4 (HD version) archive has all the missing material and also conveniently contains one of two sets of fan-made levels available separately on Aminet.

Hope that clues people in a bit more about the game......have fun!

Hello there butfluffy,

Tonight I've been playing around and made an .ADF for you from the Aminet archive. It also contains the 2 extra levels files

Upon booting, I added some text that details how to load these in the game via the menus:

Not really sure what the point of the 1st one is??? After loading there is just a power pellet on screen and only the 1 level that just keeps repeating. The "ViewAnims.readme" does say:

Code:
This is a Levelset for Pacman96 which makes it easy to watch
all the nice animation sequences between the levels.
The 2nd one contains 32 levels.

I left the English and German manuals out; and also the Xmas files that DrBong talked about above... Not sure what these are about either; could only see an image:

Anyway, file in The Zone! for you.
