recording sound
Hi guys. I'm new to using WinUAE. I want to record sound when I play a game. I can only get an avi file as the output though, I can never get just a wav file. I want to be able to turn recording on and off during the game and end up with a standard wav file that I can edit later. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

It's easier done than said but here goes. press f12, click output. On output properties click button w/3 dots. See the bottom dropdown box? select wav instead of avi and give it a name. Ensure you have an audio codec selected too. click avi output enabled to start recording and click again to stop. Now this threw me because that button doesn't reflect the state it's in until the mouse is moved away. There may be better shortcut keys to do this job, but it worked for me.

Hi Amigo777 and welcome to EAB
![]() Go to the Output window, click on the '...' button under 'Output properties' and select '*.wav' as the filetype. Well that's about it ![]() |
