FS-UAE: when window is open, lxpanel gets unresponsive

i had FS-UAE open in background, and whenever i clicked on my taskbar (e.g. for switching virtual desktop), it would hang for 30-60 seconds

as soon as i close FS-UAE, anything went back to normal

here's where lxpanel was looping while FS-UAE was active:

apparently it was trying to query some window property of FS-UAE, which it does not provide or simply ignores the request...

Hi, I don't think XGetWindowProperty works that way -it talks to the X server, not to fs-uae directly.

But you can try to comment out the calls to XChangeProperty in libfsemu/src/ml/linux.c and compile. Perhaps the panel does not like the large property related to window icons in multiple sizes.

Did you try my suggestion? Did it have any effect?

not yet, after trying for ~ 2hours to patch mouse sensitivity into FS-UAE, i got distracted from it.
the mouse sensitivity thing is an absolute blocker for me.
