Seem to be missing Flyin' High [AmigaCD] completely, how did that happen?

You missed it as I cannot share this game, along with any other APC&TCP & purchases that I've made.

See this post: http://eab.abime.net/showpost.php?p=...postcount=2003

...I should really make a note in the 1st post; will do now

You can find just the configuration files / title / screenshots for all listed somewhere in the thread; for example here.

If you don't keep your eyes on this thread like a hawk then you can easily miss an update or two. I tend to check it every few hours, and apply updates immediately in the order they come in.

You don't really have to, unless you want any interim fixes etc...

Obviously when I finish / release the next update pack then all small changes are incorporated so nothing gets missed

Great idea enlarging the GUI, DamienD! I think I will do it soon!

You did know you could change the font size for the entire gui, too? I think the original Windows font is very small for Full HD screens... (or maybe my old eyes are beginning to fail! )

I was just thinking about that so I found where it was and increased the size to 11, though I may change the font entirely- not sure yet. I also set the checkbox to a resizeable GUI and made it a little taller.

hey Damien
can you check plz the Retro Wars - Episode IV 1/4 configuration because it can't find the game directory. maybe it's the 1/4 special character that has the problem and the conf file must be saved in a different ASCII format
tnx!

Hey teknik667,

Works fine here

...but I think it has to do with the language you have installed in Windows; not sure why it cannot read some of these characters though.

You may want to try these games also to see if they work:
  • Alien³
  • Rick Dangerous II½ [demo]
  • Retro Wars - Episode IV¼
  • Uropa² - The Ulterior Colony [AmigaCD]

hey Damien,
tnx for the lightning speed reply!
all the games you posted work fine. the only issue is with the Wars - Episode IV.
strange....
it's not a big deal though. i've changed it to Wars - Episode IV 1-4 in config and gamename and it works just fine
tnx again!

I should probably add extra information to the above post; all games listed have foreign characters in the configuration file name / game directory / filename.

There are some games that have foreign characters only in the configuration file name.

List attached.

Do these configuration files also not appear correctly in WinUAE for you?

So I played around with changing the "GUI Font..." & "List Font..." font size from "8" --> "10".

I just injected the required registry lines into my existing registry file.

...but it then messes up the GUI size I'd set:

Compare that with the screenshots in post #2155.

I would then need to also re-adjust the GUI values previously set...

Edit: a thing for Toni, all this could be fixed with setting "Fullscreen GUI" but there are issues; I'll create a thread under the support.WinUAE section.

I don't see anything wrong in the image? It looks like the other screenshot, except larger. Are you talking about the size of the window itself?

In any event, it seems to me you should just set it to however you want it as you always have, only maybe give mention to the controls to adjust it for our screens (I did have to look for it, found it under miscellaneous). Once you start going off into additional configuration files by adding 1080p support, you would need to support 2.5K and 4K as well as there are people on these resolutions too. Just my two cents. Or is it two pence? This is *English* Amiga Board after all.

Yes, if you look at the enlarged GUI it's perfectly above the Taskbar and you can see the right side edge. See this post.

If you look at the image with increased font sizes in this post, you will see that the GUI goes below the Taskbar and the right side edge isn't shown.

Both registry files are using the exact same GUI width / height registry settings...

Yeah, you're probably right...

For now I'll probably just incorporate the WinUAE_Larger GUI_INI & REG.rar into my base package though, since people seem to like that better as opposed to the default sizes which are set if you'd just setup WinUAE for the first time.

...and also include details of how to resize the GUI / change font sizes; and let the user then worry about it

Okay, I see now the window going slightly underneath the taskbar. I did see your post in the WinUAE subforum too which was even more dramatic with the lower buttons covered as well- hopefully something Toni can fix.

Sounds perfect to me. Thanks again for all this by the way.

Following on from my stupidity detailed in this recent thread: Assassin - Freeze / Crash

...here are new configuration files with "Cycle-exact (Full)" set for:
  • Assassin.uae
  • Assassin - Special Edition.uae
So please just download the attached and extract into "C:\WinUAE"

Ok, so while at work using a resolution of 1920x1080; I set up another .INI & .REG set.

I didn't make it full screen as it's just too large IMHO...

Attached for anyone that wants to try this
