Games that detect more ram should have the extra ram by default

I was wondering why some sounds were missing when playing Lemmings 2: The Tribes and went through lots of disks thinking I had a dodgy version.

Turned out that it autodetects the extra chipmem and wasn't my choice of disk and increasing the ram from 512kb to 1mb solved my problem

perhaps the default db entry should be revised?

cant figure out how to edit the db though otherwise i'd do it myself

Do you mean a cracked version? Just tried the IPF of Lemmings 2 and all sfx/musics are there with the database default (512 Chip/512 Slow). And of course the 512KB/1MB WHDLoad versions are correctly named.

You were right. Database it now fixed with 1MB Chipram+512KB Slowram for the disk image versions. Extra Slowram is needed to hear all samples due to multiple drives set as default.
