Hired Guns WHDload Error #205 (object not found) on writing "SavedGames/Track00"?
Hello everyone, when trying to save in Hired Guns (latest official and registered WHDload) it exits to Workbench and I get the following error: Error #205 (object not found) on writing "SavedGames/Track00"?
Could it be that it wants some "SavedGames" folder to be at some required location? What am I doing wrong? All other games are working fine of course, saving, loading etc. I have all necessary files in the right place I guess (hence the other games are working). Any ideas? |

HG has a terrific HD installer. Why is it WHDloaded in the first place ?
Try the normal installation. |

Alright, I followed the manual and dragged the install icon ("English") to a drawer on my HD where I usually install my games. However, it keeps telling me "HDInstall Not enough space on target device! Drag this icon into a drawer on your hard disk, then run me from there."
What am I possibly doing wrong here? I'd still like a solution to the WHDload problem in that case |

Wow what a streak of bad luck I'm sorry I can't help you. I must have installed/played HG like a million times, and never had any problems. It was the cleanest and most technically superior game I have ever seen.
Hopefully someone else will know what to do. Cheers ! |

Yes, I hope so to It's strange, everything's in order and I've installed countless games without problems before. Even on the same system.

Hey, I tried it again and the original install worked! Here's what I did (it's either one of these things, or a combination):
Before I accidently started the install from the floppy itself (then the error comes up of course), I then copied it to the other HD but the error kept popping up. I also had 4 drives enabled in WinUAE. 1. I checked "Disable UAEFSDB-support" in the WinUAE options 2. I enabled only the first drive 3. I copied the icon ("English") from the install folder to my HD 4. I started it only after I copied it to the install folder and it worked. However, it would STILL be interesting to know why the WHDload version doesn't function |

Yipee
But somehow I thought you were installing it on a real Amiga Possibly some of those options were the problem. Anyway, have fun now, it is an incredible game |

if the "SavedGames" does not exit, you can create it yourself.
