7 Day Santa game making challenge
I'm taking a short break from Super Sprint and so decided to do a little 7 day game making challenge along side Tenshu and DJ Metune.
My little lad loved the Pumpkin Run game that we found on the Sky Box so I though I would code our own version of it but with Santa and XMas. Here's progress of day #2. [ Show youtube player ] Hopefully released on 20th December. |

Looks nice already..
You must have a very good engine if you can just create a scrolling game like that, Graeme... |

Fuck, wanted to create a little christmas level with my game engine as well, but my computer broke this morning.
Hopefully my data is safe. Anyway, your work looks amazing, Graeme. |

Day 5 of Santa Run....
[ Show youtube player ] I put all the scoring into the game tonight. In easy mode the player will score 50 points for moving a short segment (32 pixels) in the game, the player is also given 100 gifts to send down the chimneys along with 10 Elf jumps which allows for jumping in the opposite direction in mid air. It's also possible to generate a score multiplier by chaining hits into the chimneys with the gifts. In hard mode, the player scores 150 points per segment, gets 3 elf jumps and only 50 gifts - so you gotta be accurate to gain a top score! Turning out to be a nice little game. Geezer |

Great job!!!
I envy you, how can it be that in less than a month you can make this game? .... I could not even in 1 year !!! congratulations also to Tenshu and DJ METUNE |

Very impressive indeed.
Would it be too much hassle making a tutorial on something like this, or even much simpler game? I love your existing tutorials, but I am somewhat lost after a while, and it would be easier (at least, for me) if we could follow some very simple game creation, and refer and revisit your existing tutorial as sort of a manual, where everything is explained "under the hood". Either way, great job man. |

I'd like to add that the transition between the title music and the in-game music works very nicely. DJ Metune strikes again
