A600 Help
Hi all. Today I took out my A600 out of its box and discovered it has developed a fault. I hope the pooled talent of the dedicated EAB members can possibly help me.
My A600 has 2MB ram and a 64MB CF-IDE HD with WB2.1. Now, this is the issue. When I boot the A600 everything seems fine. After around 30s-1min the WB disappears and the screen goes light gray and the caps-lock key (Green LED) remains on. The system appears locked. I have already tried reseating the IDE-adapter & CF Card. I also tried removing the 1MB fast ram expansion and booting with the same result. I have tried the PSU adapter with a friends machine and it is fine. Has anyone come across these symptoms? Please |

Try pressing the bigger chips firmly and rebooting it.
I suspect a cold joint somewhere - maybe around the RAM chips (which are just above the expansion connector in the lower right). |
