Amiga 25W power supply question

I have Amiga 1200 and my question is:
Will I damage the motherboard with standard 25Watt power supply with this configuration:

Blizzard 1230/50 mk3
Indivision AGA 1200 mk2
CF 4gb as hard drive
Floppy drive 880kb
and I plan to add two 12volt fans (one to Blizzard, one to Indivision AGA mk2)

or should I go ahead and buy 200Watt modified PC power supply ? I have no CD-ROM in my Amiga.

Thanks,
Art

no,but you might be straining the power supply a bit.

200watt is a bit of a overkill for this config, but it'll work fine.or you could try to get an a500 supply.

if you go the AT PSU route it's the amps going to the 12v and 5v lines you need to be aware of. I've seen some pretty high wattage PSU's with pretty poor amps on the 5v lines

doesn't matter how higher watt rating a psu is, as it'll only consume watt is needed (edit LOL did you see what i just did thar? :P). you could put a 1000 watt psu on it, but if the amiga is only using 4 amps on the 12v line, it's only consuming 48 watts.

be careful putting the fans on the floppy power lead. the traces powering it are thin and could get hot enough to burn out. You're best taking a line off the point on the power socket of the motherboard with a good gauge wire like the ones used in your pc to power hd's/dvd's.

That 25 W is probably good enough just for an extra floppy and memory card.

In his first post he's saying he's going to put more things. But he can use also a 60watts psu if he finds any.

Replace with an A500 PSU and you have decent juice for your setup. Or just mod a PC psu.
